Pastor Michael L. Dunkleberger

Hi, I am Pastor Mike and I am the lucky person who was called to be the interim pastor of The Presbyterian Church of Wabash. In other areas you can read about our rich heritage. I want to invite you to worship with us and more importantly share your gifts with us.

One of the first things you’ll notice is we are warm, inviting and friendly. Forget the Presbyterian stereotype of “God’s Frozen Chosen.”. The second thing you’ll notice is that we are a work-in-progress. Part of that is the function of the interim time – you know deal with issues that needed attention ten years ago -- but more important we are a community that is looking for what God wants us to do next. I don’t think anyone here thinks they have arrived or know it all. As the old song says we know who “is standing in the need of prayer.”

During the months of July, August and September we will be lead through a Congregation Reflection Process, which will then enable us to begin the search for our new permanent pastor. We would love to have you be apart of that process and help us discern where God wants us to go next. If nothing else you can read the results of these events as they will be posted on this web site.

If there is some ministry you feel this church needs to entertain please make it known to us. If there are prayers you need for yourself or loved ones please let us know. We have two prayer groups meeting weekly and dozens of members praying daily. I will be very happy to keep your request confidential if you contact me directly.

So if you are searching for God’s direction in your life; if you aren’t perfect; if you are looking for an accepting group; if you have ever been a hypocrite; if you want to be challenged to be faithful AND fruitful, if you love the Lord a little and want to love him more…..come and join us for worship, one of our groups, just stop by to talk, or better yet give me an excuse to buy you a cup of coffee.

With warmth and love,

Pastor Mike
